Amplia Therapeutics Limited (ASX: ATX) is an Australian, clinical-stage, drug development company focused on the development of two potent, orally-available inhibitors of Focal Adhesion Kinase (FAK) for the treatment of cancer and fibrotic diseases.​The first of these drugs, narmafotinib (AMP945), is a highly selective and potent inhibitor of FAK and is currently in a phase 2 clinical trial for pancreatic cancer, in clinical development for ovarian cancer, and advanced preclinical development for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). Orphan Drug Designations for pancreatic cancer and IPF have been granted by the US FDA. ​The FDA has also cleared Amplia’s investigational new drug (IND) submission to allow for a clinical trial in pancreatic cancer in the US. Amplia’s second pipeline drug, AMP886, inhibits FAK and also inhibits two key disease drug targets (VEGFR3 and FLT3). This drug is currently being evaluated in preclinical models of cancer.​
