Mawson West Bolsters Executive Team and Positions for Growth

PERTH, AUSTRALIA–(Marketwired – July 9, 2014) – Mawson West Limited (TSX:MWE) (“Mawson West” or “the Company”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Greg Entwistle to the position of Chief Development Officer plus the appointment of experienced mining executive Mr Alistair Croll as Chief Operations Officer.

Mawson West Managing Director & CEO Mr Bruce McFadzean said: “We are very pleased to welcome an experienced mining executive with Mr Croll’s skill set to Mawson West to support our core business as we prepare for an extended period of growth.

Mr Croll has extensive senior executive experience in the mining industry both in Australia and overseas having previously held senior roles with St Barbara Limited, Kimberley Diamond Company, Blina Minerals N/L and Consolidated Minerals Limited in Australia, and in South Africa with Anglo American Platinum Limited and 17 years with the De Beers Group.

Mr Croll’s experience extends to all aspects of mining operations, including: technical, project and general management roles through to Managing Director. Mr Croll is equally comfortable in open pit and underground operations, with experience in gold, platinum, diamond, manganese, chrome and nickel.

Mr Croll holds a Bachelor of Science (Mining Engineering) and a Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Mining and Mineral Economics) from the University of Witwatersrand.

Mr Entwistle and Mr Croll’s roles will be effective from 28 July 2014 and based in Mawson’s West head office in Perth.
